Dr. Andrea Petersen
Chiropractor
Dr. Petersen began seeing a chiropractor in Calgary at the age of 15 when she was a member of the Canadian Junior National Luge Team. She found relief from her injuries as well as improvement in her sport performance following chiropractic treatment. This was her inspiration for pursuing a career in chiropractic. She went on to study biological science at the University of Calgary, followed by the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Upon graduating, she provided locum coverage in rural Alberta, and British Columbia. She went on to open a practice in Prince George, British Columbia while she served as Director of Northern Health Region on the BC Chiropractic Association Board of Directors. She now once again resides in Calgary, a decision made to be closer to family and to provide care in the community that she grew up in.
She has a keen interest in athletics and family wellness-based care. Her specialties include manual adjusting, soft tissue techniques, Shockwave therapy, Activator and Sigma-Pro instrument techniques (gentle low-force techniques used to improve joint function and decrease pain). Her mission is to help improve people's health and wellness through evidence-informed chiropractic care and advice.

Mark Smith
Registered Massage Therapist
Mark was drawn to massage therapy because of his own active lifestyle. A lifelong athlete and former semi-professional soccer player who loves to hike, mountain bike, run, and ski, Mark noticed how massage therapy and chiropractic helped keep his body moving when he was competing. His sporting background is largely what inspired him to pursue a career as an RMT upon arriving in Canada with his wife in 2007. He enjoys the challenge of working with clients who have been in car accidents, have chronic pain, or repetitive strain injuries as well as helping prevent and treat injuries in professional and amateur athletes.

Mark believes in drawing from both his education and his own injury management to specifically tailor each session to the needs of the client. However, he also believes that healing comes from within and everyone should make it a priority to help themselves with effective home care involving stretching and hydrotherapy. He encourages his clients to seek out many healthcare options to find the formula that works for them. Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Mark had a successful career as an environmental scientist in his native Australia, including 7 years teaching in Australian universities. He took his 1st year of massage training at the Whistler School of Massage before completing a 2200 hour Massage Therapy diploma at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy, where he also currently serves as an instructor.
