Foot reflexology is a type of therapy based on the belief that there are specific points (or "reflexes") on the feet that correspond to different organs, systems, and parts of the body. By applying pressure to these reflex points, our reflexologist helps to promote health in the corresponding body parts and alleviate specific ailments.

What is a treatment like?

Before your foot reflexology treatment, we go through your specific health concerns and examine your feet.

Then we use our hands and fingers to apply varying amounts of pressure to your reflex points. This is to address any imbalances and release blockages.

Do treatments hurt?

Most people find reflexology to be relaxing. However, some might experience momentary discomfort or sensitivity in specific reflex points, indicating an imbalance in the corresponding area of the body.

At MoveWell, we aim for your comfort while achieving results and will adjust the pressure to where you need.

Is foot reflexology safe?

Generally, reflexology is safe. However, certain conditions, like foot injuries, infections, or thrombosis, may make the treatment inappropriate.

If you are pregnant or have specific health concerns, call us to discuss whether foot reflexology is right for you. And of course, we encourage you to talk to your doctor!

How long are treatments?

Treatments range from 30 to 60 minutes. Initial assessments take longer so that we can learn your goals, pain points, and pressure preferences.
